This is what Bio-MicroElectroMechanical Systems (BioMEMS) are designed for, in the biomedical field. Since 2007, I have been working on the design, fabrication and manipulation of these systems. As par of my PhD in Micro and Nanotechnologies and Post Doctoral Fellow, my work consists in developing original integrated microfluidic platforms for novel biomaterial development and detection. These platforms are able to generate aqueous micro- and/or nanodroplets as bioreactors suitable for manipulation and detection of high throughput biomolecules. My work impacts on the Biotechnology and Energy industry levels for the production of new micro-materials, and for their high sensitivity detection inside microfluidic systems.
